Pricing
InsPrint charges for what you actually use — the paper you print on, and the ink actually on it. No hidden flat fees, no rounding that works against you.
Current prices
These come straight from the database and update themselves. Same prices at every kiosk.
Our supplies pledge — quality and health
Double A paper (Thailand) or IK Plus (Malaysia)
70 gsm, A4 at 210×297mm. Two of Southeast Asia's top brands, ISO 9001 audited, available without harmful optical brighteners, and made for laser printers.
Toner Brother OEM
Brother OEM cartridges only — never loose, refilled or unbranded toner. OEM keeps print quality steady and stops loose particles escaping into the room.
Looking after everyone's health
Particles from unbranded toner can irritate your airways (WHO, IARC). We only use audited supplies, so nobody standing at a kiosk pays for it with their lungs.
How we calculate
Every quote runs four separate calculations and adds them up. Fractions are rounded up because the đồng has no smaller unit.
① Physical sheets → paper cost
A physical sheet is an actual piece of paper going through the printer. How many pages land on each one depends on two settings: N-up (pages per sheet) and double-sided.
InsPrint uses Double A (made in Thailand) or IK Plus (made in Malaysia) — two of Southeast Asia's leading office paper brands, at 70 gsm, A4 to ISO 216. Both are ISO 9001 certified and FSC certified for responsibly sourced wood.
| Setting | Pages per sheet | Example (10 pages) |
|---|---|---|
| 1 per sheet, single-sided | 1 | 10 sheets |
| 1 per sheet, double-sided | 2 | 5 sheets |
| 2 per sheet, single-sided | 2 | 5 sheets |
| 2 per sheet, double-sided | 4 | 3 sheets ⌈10/4⌉ |
| 4 per sheet, double-sided | 8 | 2 sheets ⌈10/8⌉ |
trang_per_sheet_physical = pagePerSheet × (double-sided ? 2 : 1)
sheets_needed = ⌈ selected_pages / pages_per_physical_sheet ⌉
total_sheets = sheets_needed × copies
paper_cost = total_sheets × 250₫/sheet
② Ink — block-based pricing
Rather than a flat per-page rate, InsPrint measures the actual ink coverage of every page, then converts it into "blocks". Much fairer if your document has blank or sparse pages.
What is a block?
One block = 5% ink coverage. That 5% figure comes from the standard ISO/IEC 19752 — the international standard for laser cartridge yield, which defines a "standard page" as an A4 page with 5% coverage (a plain page of text). More detail: ISO/IEC 19752:2004.
| Page type | Typical coverage | Block (/5%) |
|---|---|---|
| Blank page or cover | 0–2% | 0–0.4 |
| Plain text (the ISO baseline) | ~5% | ~1.0 |
| Text with tables | 10–20% | 2–4 |
| With images or charts | 20–50% | 4–10 |
| Heavy colour or graphics | 50–100% | 10–20 |
total_coverage = Σ coverage(page_i) — only the pages you chose to print
blocks = total_coverage / (5 × pagePerSheet)
block_rate = 150₫ (black & white) · 600₫ (colour)
ink_cost = = ⌈ blocks × copies × block_rate ⌉
For colour, InsPrint uses the four-colour CMYK model per standard ISO/IEC 19798. Colour (600₫/block) costs 4× mono (150₫/block) — four CMYK cartridges against one black.
Toner Brother OEM. We never use loose, refilled or unbranded toner. Particles from poorly recycled cartridges can escape into the air and irritate airways — a risk the WHO and IARC have flagged for badly ventilated offices. Sticking to OEM toner is the responsible call.
③ Service fee
This covers running the kiosks: hardware maintenance, connectivity, round-the-clock technical support, and payment processing.
subtotal = paper_cost + ink_cost
fee_calc = subtotal × 10%
service_fee = max( 3,500₫, fee_calc )
Minimum 3,500₫ covers small orders (say 1–2 plain pages) so they stay worth running. Bigger orders scale at 10% of paper + ink.
④ VAT
VAT of 10% under Decree 15/2022/NĐ-CP and Circular 13/2023/TT-BTC from Vietnam’s Ministry of Finance. InsPrint issues e-invoices on request.
pre_vat = paper_cost + ink_cost + service_fee
vat = ⌈ pre_vat × 10% ⌉
TOTAL = pre_vat + vat
Industry standards
Our pricing model rests on standards the laser printing industry already agrees on:
| Standard | What it covers | How we use it |
|---|---|---|
| ISO/IEC 19752:2004 | Yield measurement for black laser cartridges — defines a standard page as A4 at 5% coverage | One block = 5% |
| ISO/IEC 19798:2007 | Yield measurement for 4-colour CMYK laser cartridges | The basis for our colour rate |
| ISO 216:2007 | International paper sizes — A4 is 210 × 297 mm | The only size we support right now |
| DIN EN 500 | Paper weight — 70 gsm is the usual office choice (60–90 gsm range) | A4 70 gsm = 250₫/sheet |
Coverage is measured automatically on upload by analysing pixel density — the same method printer makers use to quote cartridge yields under ISO/IEC 19752. It takes 5–30 seconds depending on file size.
What we stock in the kiosks
| Supply | Brand / standard | Why this one |
|---|---|---|
| Paper | Double A (Advance Agro, Thailand) or IK Plus (APRIL Group, Malaysia) — 70 gsm, A4 | ISO 9001, FSC certified, ISO brightness ≥ 102%, low dust, plays nicely with laser printers |
| Black toner | Brother OEM | OEM toner has consistent particle size and does not shed loose powder. Loose or unbranded toner can carry ultrafine particles that harm your lungs (WHO Technical Report, 2023) |
| Colour toner (CMYK) | Brother OEM Four colours: cyan, magenta, yellow, black |
Worked example
A 12-page report (text and tables), 2 copies, 1 page per sheet, single-sided, black and white. Average coverage 12% per page → total coverage = 144%.
| Line item | How it is worked out | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Total sheets | ⌈12 / (1×1)⌉ × 2 copies = 24 sheets | 24 sheets |
| Paper | 24 × 250₫ | 6,000₫ |
| Ink blocks | 144% ÷ (5% × 1) = 28.8 blocks | 28.8 blocks |
| Ink (B&W) | ⌈28.8 × 2 × 150₫⌉ | 8,640₫ |
| Subtotal | 6,000₫ + 8,640₫ | 14,640₫ |
| Service fee | max(3,500₫, 14,640₫ × 10%) = 3,500₫ | 3,500₫ |
| Pre-VAT | 18,140₫ | |
| VAT 10% | 1,814₫ | |
| TOTAL | 19,954₫ | |
